The MP3 player is 10 years old today. I remember when I first heard about the Diamond Rio player and wanting one so bad. I think it was mid 97 when I first heard about mp3s and at that time I converted most of my cds over to the format. Back then everything was done with dos programs. I remember having to rip my cds into .wav files and then using a converter that took those over into the mp3 files. It was definitely a more difficult process than it is today. I’m sure some of the mp3s I have to this day though are from those original conversions. I wonder if the format will last another 10?
