Well a little sooner then expected I was able to order my Macbook Pro. I found a great deal on one on Ebay that also had a rebate which made it cheaper than if I had used my education discount. Today at work we got two of the new iMacs with Intel processors. I must say I was very impressed. Setup went very well and most of the powerpc native applications worked flawlessly using Rosetta. The front row software and built in iSight are amazing. It really made me want a Macbook Pro even more. Anyone interested can read about the new iMac at http://www.apple.com/imac

Today is the 22nd birthday of the Macintosh. 22 Years ago today we found out why 1984 won’t be like 1984. You can see the original 1984 ad that aired with the superbowl that year at http://www.apple-history.com/movies/1984.mov

Analysts expect Apple to continue to outperform competitors, citing 2006 as ‘poised to be the year of both iPod growth and, more importantly, Mac market share gains,’ with earnings growing more than 35%. I should have bought stock two years ago!”
