Teaser posters have shown up for the new G.I. Joe movie that comes out next summer. Hopefully this one will turn out to be as good as Transformers was. Next year will be a good year we have this and the next Transformers movie coming out. It’s 1986 all over again.
“The film stars Channing Tatum, Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller, Ray Park, Rachel Nichols, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Said Taghmaoui, Marlon Wayans, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
From the Egyptian desert to deep below the polar ice caps, the elite co-ed GI JOE team, based from it’s headquarters The Pit, deploys the latest in next-gen spy and military equipment to fight crooked arms dealer Destro and the growing threat of the mysterious COBRA organization from plunging the world into chaos.”
Website thislondon.co.uk posted pictures of Harrison Ford himself buying Indiana Jones merchandise. Looks like no one is safe from George Lucas’ licensing empire. Not even Indiana himself. I have been trying not to go crazy with these toys. So far I just have the one Indiana figure and I know Sarah wants to get the Taters of the Lost Ark (Mr. Potato Head Indiana Jones) toy to go with the rest of our Spuds. We bought our tickets last week for the movie and actually ended up with an extra one. Anyone that lives near us and would like to go please email me. It is a Jordan Commons at 4:10. They are reserved seats so no waiting in line either.
On Friday we saw Iron Man which I highly recommend by the way. Not only was the movie great, but it also included two new trailers for two movies I am highly anticipating this summer. The first was finally a full trailer for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. It is hard to believe that we are only a few weeks away from that one. The other was the full trailer for Dark Knight. I originally was skeptical of someone else playing the Joker. I always though Jack Nicholson’s take on the character was great. However, it looks like Heath Ledger played the character well and will definitely give batman a difficult time in Gotham.
Not only is today RSS day, but it is also the beginning of the onslaught of Indiana Jones merchandise. Sarah and I went to Target to check it out and they had lots of goodies. They had all the first wave of figures which were mainly from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Galactic heroes, and an Indy spud (Mr. Potato Head). I figured for now I would just get me an Indy figure. The last thing I need to do is start collecting another toy line. I’ll at least also pick up Henry Jones Sr. (Sean Connery) and maybe one or two others.
Blockbuster also has some new prints from the new movie available and there is Indiana Jones themed M&Ms and a snickers bar with coconut flavor. I’m sure there will be much more to come as we get nearer to the release of the film.
My video is now finally finished. I have been tweaking with it all week and it is due tomorrow. My project partner and I burned both of our edits to DVD last night and we will be watching them for the final tomorrow at 1:00. I think I would have loved even more time to try and tweak things, but I feel like it is now presentable. I have uploaded the video on Vimeo which is a great site for hosting HD video. So here it is for your enjoyment.
