School Started

I noticed it has been quite a while now since my last post. Yes I am still alive, but barely. School started last week and it has made things a little more hectic. So far I am liking my classes and don’t think I will have any major problems with them. In fact 3 of them I only attend once a week, so that is nice. The other 2 are twice a week and I have Fridays completely open. Wednesdays are my longest days. I am on campus pretty much from 8-7, so pretty much all day. The rest of the week isn’t as bad. My hardest class I think is going to be a writing class. We finally got a teacher assigned to the class yesterday and it is someone from the English department. He said we will have 5 papers to write throughout the course, so that will keep me pretty busy. The other class that will keep me pretty busy is Senior Projects. This semester we pick our project that involves a non profit organization and get all the paperwork out of the way. Next semester we will actually do the project. So far we have been assigned into our teams and we are now deciding on which project we want to take on. It should make for a busy semester, but hopefully not too bad.

1 Down 3 To Go

Last night our group gave our final powerpoint presentation for my corporate issues in Multimedia class. The presentation was our final, so now I just have to show up and watch the other presenters until the end of the semester. It’s nice to have at least one class finished for now. We still have two weeks left of classes and then the dreaded finals week.

Finals Are Over

Sarah and I barely made it through the week, but somehow managed. My worst final was a story boarding project that I just could never seem to motivate myself to do. I finally just loaded up an caffeine and got most of it done last Sunday. I stayed up until 2 in the morning.

I did have one test on Tuesday that I did okay, but could have done better. At least I was doing very well in the class, so it shouldn’t affect me too bad. The other final I was dreading was the Basketball game on Thursday for my broadcasting class. We had to show up at noon to start getting set up and didn’t finish until the game was over around 10:30. The main thing about that final was that I was one of the floor cams which requires you to have a roughly 50 pound camera on your shoulder the whole game. I did it once before and was sore for almost a week afterwards. This time wasn’t as bad because I bought some knee pads, so I didn’t have to stand the whole time. I was still sore for a couple of days after.

I’m glad to have this semester over with and am happy to have a break finally. I’m sure it will go pretty quick though and I’ll be starting over again in January. Now just have to play the waiting game until grades get posted.

Finals are finally over!

I just got back from my last final. I don’t think it has really sunk in. I now want to sleep all weekend to make up for the lost sleep during the week. I think almost everynight this week I at most got 5 hours of sleep, so if I seem out of it you know why. Hopefully now I will have some time to make some more posts and enjoy the summer.
